The Centre prides itself on developing programs that meet current needs and those of the future. Programming is therefore geared to identified needs and offers the flexibility for ongoing change.

At the Jimmy Pratt Centre the healthy aging of seniors is an important part of weekly programming. For over eight years now, the Centre has offered weekly activities as part of its Seniors Inclusion Program. The SIP is not only concentrated on healthy eating but also the traits of a healthy environment among old and new friends.

Happening every Thursday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, the Seniors Inclusion Program involves games, activities, and presentations to engage seniors and provide a space for socialization, with lunch provided.

Every Monday from 8:30 to 10:00 am, sponsored by Cenovus Energy, our kitchen volunteers serve hot meals to those in need.

Every Friday, our kitchen serves hot meals from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. This program is regularly supported by NL Hydro, The Delta Hotel and Conference Centre St. John’s, and the Sheraton Hotel St. John’s, which donate meals and volunteer their time to help facilitate this program.

We offer computer access and resources to support career building, including creating resumes, applying for jobs, and acquiring public services.
