Flipper Dinner Postponed
This year’s Flipper Dinner, initially scheduled for June 11th, 2025, has been postponed and rescheduled for September 18th, 2025. The Jimmy Pratt Memorial Outreach Centre and the Board of Directors apologize for any inconvenience and we hope to see you there in September! The Sheraton Hotel – Steps-Up
Sheraton Hotel – Our Newest Sponsor
On May 3rd of this year the Sheraton Hotel became the Jimmy Pratt Soup Kitchens newest sponsor. This support will include the preparation of delicious hot meals and several members of their staff to help serve the meal and be a part of the after meal clean-up.
The Sheraton has joined the Delta to help lighten the volunteer and financial load current being experienced at the Jimmy Pratt centre.
The board of directors of the Jimmy Pratt Centre is truly thankful for this added support and the excellent quality of meals that they will bring to our menu
United Way Community Fund
Senior’s Resizing Cooperative
The Jimmy Pratt Memorial Outreach Centre gratefully acknowledges support funding from United Way NL in support of startup costs for the Senior’s Resizing Cooperative.
The Cooperative is for seniors and will provide a means to save money and avoid food waste. Starting a consumer cooperative for seniors who are facing joint issues like living in small apartments, tight budgets, and small families can have many key objectives and benefits: (more…)
Elks Club Donation
The Jimmy Pratt Memorial Outreach Centre was presented with a cheque for $2,000.00 by the board of the Elks Club. The Centre was one of four charities to receive a donation from the four day raffles that were held at the Club.
On behalf of the board of directors, volunteers and patrons we wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the club members and extend our best wishes for a happy Christmas.

Once again the Volunteers have answered the call! Verafin, the Delta Hotel, and Sobeys have providing tremendous support for this years Christmas Day Dinner. A special thanks to all those that volunteered and contributed to the overall success of the event.
