Seniors Inclusion Program

Since 2011, the Jimmy Pratt Centre has featured a Seniors Inclusion Program. This program was developed based on an identified need for seniors in the George St. Church Congregation and others seeking opportunities to interact with peers in a meaningful inclusion program.
The Seniors Inclusion Programming provides an opportunity for seniors fifty-five and older to gather at the Centre every Wednesday for a day of various activities suitable for seniors of all ages. Drop-in’s are welcome, and the program is a weekly $5 fee. The agenda for the Seniors Inclusion Program changes weekly and may include games such as playing cards, exercise activities, guest speakers, educative presentations, and music. Lunch is provided.
Please note that our Seniors Inclusion Program is breaking for the summer and will recommence in September 2025.
Activities Matter
At the Jimmy Pratt Centre the healthy aging of seniors is an important part of weekly programming. For over eight years now, the Centre has offered weekend activities as part of its Seniors Inclusion Program. The SIP is not only concentrated on healthy eating but also the traits of a healthy environment among old and new friends.
Trip Around The Bay
We will be having our annual Trip Around the Bay on September 7th.
This year’s trip will be to Burry heights. A motor coach will pick up participants at The Village Shopping Centre at 9:30 am, and return them at 4:00 pm.
The morning schedule includes fitness activities and games. A lunch will be provided, and followed by an afternoon of entertainment provided by Brian Finn, and then card games.
Members of our program pay a nominal weekly fee of $5.00 but if any members would like to bring a friend on the trip, we ask that they pay $50.00 to help offset the cost of food and transportation.
We would love to see you!
